On an annual basis, by June 30, the Division of Minority Health and Disparity Elimination submits a Title VI Compliance Plan and Implementation Manual to the State Comptroller's Office. The purpose of the report is to describe the long range goals and objectives that direct the Department of Health's efforts in the implementation and compliance of the Title VI Section of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
The report has three sections: (1) the overview of the agency, (2) the approach to major civil rights functions, (3) the goals and objectives.
Finally each report is the summation of the combined efforts of the Department's Title VI Coordinating Committee which is comprised of representatives from within the department as well as the local community.
