Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program

Group of Women

The Tennessee Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program provides clinical breast exams, mammograms, and Pap tests for eligible Tennessee women free of charge.  General eligibility guidelines are women who meet income guidelines and either have no insurance, or insurance that does not pay for these services.

Participating statewide providers, including local health departments and primary care clinics, provide screening services and referrals if additional tests are needed.  To date, more than 18,000 women have been enrolled for services. Almost 6,000  women were screened in fiscal year 2005 --- a four-fold increase over past years.
