About the HIV/AIDS/STD Section
The mission of HIV/AIDS/STD Section is to prevent, treat, and/or control the spread of these and other communicable diseases to protect the health of the citizens of Tennessee by:
- Providing HIV/STD education and information
- Collecting, monitoring and distributing data relating to HIV/AIDS and STDs and,
- Providing assistance to individuals and entities that oversee, plan for, or provide HIV and STD services
- Providing intervention and treatment services
This site provides practical information on many of the HIV, AIDS, and STD prevention and care activities in Tennessee. You can use this site to gather basic disease facts, information regarding counseling and testing, or infection statistics.
