Continuing Education


Continuing Education

Failure to comply with continuing education requirements may result in disciplinary action against the licensee or registrant. The disciplinary action will be reported on the Department of Health license verification web site.

A licensee shall earn a minimum of ten (10) hours of continuing education each calendar year. Five (5) hours each year shall be acquired in the area of licensure. Five (5) hours each year may be acquired in areas related to speech-language pathology or audiology, or both.

Each licensee must retain documentation of completion of all continuing education hours for a period of four (4) years from the end of the renewal period for which it is acquired. This documentation must be produced for inspection and verification if requested by the Board during it verification process.
